APRÈS EDIT: 6 ESSENTIALS I'M WEARING THIS SEASON

It’s December 1 and day four of ski season here in Jackson Hole. I can happily say I’ve skied—and just as importantly, après’ed—every single day of the season this year (all four of them!). While my ski streak imminently will be broken upon return to Dallas, however, that doesn’t mean the end of après… or après style, for that matter. No snow in your forecast? Never fear: après is a state of mind, and it’s one I’m quite pleased to be in. Who doesn’t love an excuse for Chartreuse at 4 PM? It’s still early in the season, but here are six starting essentials I’ve added into my wardrobe that give a nod to “yes way, après” no matter what the temperature. After all, it’s four o’clock somewhere, no?
Ann Mashburn Daisie Sweater. A new favorite, the embroidery on this super creamy-soft and extremely alpine-chic sweater reminds me of edelweiss. See it up close on my instagram.
Mischa Lampert Pom Beanie. Helmet hair much? We can’t all look like Audrey Hepburn after skiing, and I can’t, won’t go without a Mischa Lampert topper. Love this one in “Jackson Hole red.”
Pajar Cerie Boot. I have been on the search for the perfect boot to go from the D Terminal at DFW to the tarmac in Jackson, and these are the ones. They are extremely warm but they wear like a sneaker. (and, they’re on sale!) TIP: size up.
Goldbergh Hando Mittens. Could there even be a chicer après mitten? And they’re not all fluff: they’re designed to be worn on the mountain, too!
Ann Mashburn Paolo Bag. For years I have loved my black shearling bag, and it’s time to add this gorgeous taupe one into rotation. Bonus: it packs flat in a suitcase or is super lightweight in a carry-on.
Herno Half-Coat Puffer. I’ve been wearing this coat since October in Dallas, and can report that it also stands up to to the Jackson Hole cold without overdoing it on the plane.
