GOING FOURTH IN BLUE AND WHITE

It’s no secret that I nurture a real obsession for all things blue and white, so what better day to celebrate that than the Fourth? From the deep azure of a Jackson Hole “bluebird sky” ski day to the cerulean hues of the chinoiserie porcelain that has slowly multiplied on any available surface in our Dallas home, there is just something about blue and white that I find irresistible.
One of my favorite interior designers, Mark D. Sikes, has captured the timelessness of this color combo so well that blue and white has become a signature, making his work both striking and unmistakable. And my own personal style and beauty icon, Aerin Lauder, regularly incorporates blue and white throughout her own decor and entertaining schemes. Both are inspirations for me in decorating my own home and styling my (very last minute) Fourth of July table, which I will post here on the blog soon (stay tuned!).
I thought this would be the perfect occasion to share a few of my favorite blue and white decor pieces in the spirit of the day. Here are some of my current muses:
